Municipal/Government Law
Throughout his career, Mr. Delapoer has emphasized the representation of municipal corporations. He has served as General and Special Counsel to a number of Oregon communities and presently serves as Chief Legal Advisor to the City of Albany and Linn Benton Community College. Mr. Delapoer began his emphasis on municipal/government law in 1976 when he began serving as Deputy City Attorney for the City of Albany and continued in that position until his appointment as City Attorney in 1985.
General/Civil Litigation
In addition to serving as Trial Counsel for the City of Albany in contractual disputes, condemnation, employee relations matters, land use law, and judicial and administrative appeals, Mr. Delapoer has also been called upon to serve as Special Counsel to the cities of Lebanon and Corvallis and has served as Trial Counsel for the Emerald People's Utilities District, in complex, multimillion dollar, condemnation litigation. Mr. Delapoer has also represented local and out-of-state manufacturers in business litigation and represents plaintiffs and defendants in personal injury and commercial litigation.
Land Use/Administrative Law
Mr. Delapoer represents individuals in land use proceedings before other nearby governmental bodies and assists people and businesses in general administrative and governmental matters. He appears before City boards and commissions, as well as State agencies and State and Federal Courts.
